Wow, Baros is staying. *applause* ;)
Baros should perform. He looks hungry and determined.
"I have heard all the rumours about Real Madrid and Barcelona supposedly being interested in me and of course it's nice to see clubs like that wanting you," he said. But I am back at Liverpool now ready for a new season and I want to stay here and play as many games as I can."
Currently playing CM4 I do put 3 strikers in front .. a diamond with three defenders... donno whether it can be done in real life but I just couldn't resist playing the three in front... ;)

In less than 5 hours Liverpool will face Wrexham FC.
Wrexham are expected to pick up around £160,000 in gate receipts from the game - their first 15,500 sell-out since their new stand was built in 1999.
While doing them a favour by ticket sold-out, the lads has to run riot and prove that we are a contender for the title, not for a Champions League place! With some of the title contender doing really well from their friendlies, Liverpool got to get up to expectation. ;)

You'll never walk alone! ...

REDS' NEW ERA BEGINS!

BIENVENIDO RAFAEL BENITEZ,
"I won't say it will be the same here, but I will fight hard. We need time, but perhaps we have a surprise for the supporters." [QUOTE]
our new manager meet the players for the first time at melwood today(12 July 2004).
Expectations are high!
With Arsenal(Robin van Persie, Feyenoord, £2.75m), Chelsea(Jose Mourinho, Petr Cech, Arjen Robben++) and Manchester Utd(Gabriel Heinze, Liam Miller, Alan Smith++) looking to bolster their squad with excellent players from all over the world... *duh*
From that list(on paper), I can say that Jose Mourinho & his team will play the major part in EPL 2004/05.
But, looking back at what RB(RAFAEL BENITEZ) had faced during his tenure in Spain, he should adapt well to the EPL pressure.... the media, the fans... ++

A nice article to read, Huge challenges lie ahead for new Premiership bosses Mourinho, Santini and Benitez - we await the outcome with interest!
"The new season is just around the corner and the usual trepidation will be felt, by fans, the length and breadth of the nation, but I suspect there will be more than the usual amount of concern at three Premier League clubs in particular, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. The reason: a new manager."

The one(from the transfer list) that impresses me the most during EURO2004 is Petr Cech, err... even the substitute keeper(Czech Republic) is too good... well heck! the whole team... ;)
And, I do think that Baros must stay at Anfield!
Milan Baros' Anfield future looks more settled after Lorenzo Sanz lost the Real Madrid presidential elections.

Djibril Cisse
"Valencia's results in the last few seasons speak hugely of his success. I hope we'll work well together and I'm sure we will."

Robbie Savage(Birm)
"Liverpool has of course been a club waiting to explode for a long time and when you look at Benitez's track record you have to believe this could be the year."

BENITEZ'S CV
1986-89: Took first coaching role with Castilla youth team
1989-95: Worked at Real Madrid where he won the league with the youth team and the B team before assisting boss Vicente del Bosque
1995-96: First management role with Real Valladolid
1996-97: Another uninspiring spell at the helm of second division side Osasuna
1997-99: Takes over at Extremadura where he wins the second division title at his first attempt
2000-01: Clinches the second division crown again this time with Tenerife
2001-02: Moves to Valencia where he ends the club's 30-year wait for the La Liga crown
2003-04: Wins the Spanish league title for the second time and then secures his first European silverware with victory in the Uefa Cup

With speculations of Kluivert, Mido++ arriving at melwood, I think someone will be leaving.. don't tell me we could have 5 field player @ one time...

well, can't wait the season to start!

So, how do I start? hmm...

Gerrard text 'yes' to Jose
Reading about Gerrard agreeing to be a blue lad makes me angry. Should we believe this? It's like a nightmare! I think all this is because of pressure and the 'r-o-o-n-e-y' factor. If it is true, I think that Gerrard is sick & tired of the current squad.
If the reason for him to stay is because of threats to his family then Liverpool FC will not get the best of him.

"Something tells me his change of heart may only be temporary" writes Steven Howard.

" And even though Liverpool star Steven Gerrard has opted not to buy into his Blue vision for the future, Mourinho insisted he understood the family reasons which prevented the England midfielder from crossing the north-south divide.
He added: "When it was a possibility for Gerrard to come here I said that he was a top player and I have not changed my mind.
But there are other good players and it's not a drama. He is a Liverpool boy and decided not stay at home. I too was faced with that decision."I had to choose between staying at Porto and moving to Chelsea and chose Chelsea because I wanted a new life.
I wish Steven good successs this season - but hope he finishes below us in the league. " - Says Mourinho
Yeah right! so that he can go to Chelsea? NO WAY! ;)

We will face Wrexham for a friendly match. It'll be before the reds go on tour to the US.
WREXHAM FC chairman Alex Hamilton will meet the council’s economic chief for crunch talks over the survival of the club.
Next friendly fixtures
26Jul Celtic [F]
30Jul FC Porto [F]
03Aug AS Roma [F]

It's a new beginning... I am back! ;)

Look ma, Cisse!

" Arsenal have won prizes but they are not as big a club as Liverpool" he told www.liverpoolfc.tv
"I am sure people must agree that Liverpool are the big English club. The red shirt of Liverpool is famous, people know it. Do they know Chelsea's shirt?
I knew of Liverpool from when I was a little boy. They are a club with history, have won many trophies and I am proud to be joining them.
I don't think that people elsewhere will know Arsenal so well. Or Chelsea? I don't think so. They know of Liverpool far more. "
